    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Professor Adkins is passionate about her subject. She puts a lot of energy into her lectures and has a great sense of humor. She showed us how psychology is so intrinsic to so many aspects of our lives.

    Course highlights:

I learned that psychology is all around us. Taking this course taught me to truly consider the "why" behind some of my behaviors. I also learned how important early childhood experiences are and since I have two young children, this impacted me greatly and made me want to be the best mother I could possibly be to my two sons.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Take lots of notes. Professor Adkins gives A LOT of notes. I cannot imagine hand writing all of the notes - a laptop is essential. If you take down all the notes and review them before the exam, you will do great! Do not use your cell phone during class. She hates this and texting during class is a sure way to draw her ire. Dont do it - she is a great woman and if you show her respect, you will have a great experience and learn a lot.
