    | No strong feelings either way.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This Biology class is nothing new content-wise, but Patrick's pretty cool. He actually wants you to understand the material.

    Course highlights:

I learned nothing new about biology through this course. It's Gen Ed though, so no surprise there.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do the reading. Ask questions. Take advantage of office hours.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Patrick was our lab professor in Bio 101. He's a great teacher. We learned from him, but also had lots of fun with his lizards, turtles, and other lab pets. I'd recommend this class as it was challenging yet rewarding!

    Course highlights:

It was engaging and his teaching methods were unconventionally entertaining! I learned more about Biology and how the world and living organisms in it work.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Take it! It's a great experience. Since I took it as a high school senior, it allowed me to gain exposure to a college-level setting.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course goes at a decent pace. All of the organization is organized in a systematic way that helps you understand how it all ties together.

    Course highlights:

The highlights were probably learning about metabolism. In this section, I learned about the way we are all open systems. Because of this, equilibrium will never be reached. And this is why we have metabolism. It is absolutely all of the functions of the body working as one. I learned about cellular respiration and the way that we convert and create energy, both with and without oxygen.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Definitely study. At least two times a week. Always review the notes. Most importantly, ask your teacher questions. They are there for a reason and more than willing to answer. Don't be afraid to ask for help and meet them during office hours. Sometimes a classroom setting is overwhelming. So go home, review what you can, make note of what you can't fathom, and bring it to the teacher. The course really is what you make of it.
