Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Intro to biology is very important for science based majors. Many times it is required by the school to take this course.

    Course highlights:

I enjoyed going further in depth in this class. In high school it is a overview of everything in college it gets down to details which is more interesting.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Flashcards and Quizlet will be your best friend for intro to bio. There is a lot of terminology that needs to be known to help on tests.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend the course because most majors do need it to graduate, I would definitely recommend Dr. DuDevoir though! She was an excellent professor. She went through her powerpoints in class with you and would go back if needed! She was very personable and approachable.

    Course highlights:

Through this course I gained a general knowledge of the Domains of Life. There were times that I was frustrated because it wasn't human body oriented, but it was a good course to introduce me to a college workload.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Study often! It was very helpful to make flashcards for each chapter in the book that we covered. I would read the chapter and take notes on it before she covered it in lecture. I took thorough lecture notes as well. Then I cross referenced then and saw what Dr. DuDevoir found was important and studied those concepts extra.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Bio 1 was a great course! It did take a lot of studying and good note taking to get a good grade but it was totally worth it!

    Course highlights:

This course gave an excellent overview of general bio and a great foundation for bio II. I found that with each new unit I was refreshing topics that I knew but also gaining a lot of knowledge by going more in depth than what is touched on in high school.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Go to lecture every time and take as many notes as possible! Good notes were a lifesaver for me.
