    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This is a great course for students who need to fulfill their microbiology prerequisite. The course is challenging but you get to complete it at your own pace. If you read the chapters and actively study, then you will do well.

    Course highlights:

A highlight of this course is that it is self-paced. No one is there to remind you of when assignments, quizzes, and exams are due. You need to be managing those dates yourself. The course is intense because it covers the entire textbook, from what is microbiology to current concerns such as the Zika virus. It is a very interesting class.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Be prepared to study and give up some weekends. If you fall behind in your readings, it would be difficult to complete assignments. But then again, you have 16 weeks to complete the course so use that time wisely.
