    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Make sure you read the chapters before class. You will be better prepared for lecture and be able to answer the professor's questions and ask your own. Also make sure you read everything carefully. There wasn't any trick questions but it's important to know what the professor is asking on tests and quizzes.

    Course highlights:

Professor Nolan showed students what to expect if we want to become a scientist. She shared her personally experiences she had when she became a scientist. Her teaching style was interesting and made me want to learn more.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

It would be beneficial to create a study group with your classmates. The material can be difficult to understand just by yourself. Within the study group you can help each other study, understand the course material, and incorporate your own input. Another thing would be to carefully read and understand the lab. The lab quizzes have questions you can only answer it you read the entire lab. The tests are not that difficult if you know what to study for. Ask the professor for help especially on the essay questions that are on the test. Most of the students lost points due to their inability to answer the questions scientifically.
