Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Professor Tayyar is passionate about his subject and allows his students to explore all ideas in the security of his classroom. Even if you are not a big lover of English, his class will inspire you and encourage you.

    Course highlights:

I really enjoyed that we could freely express whatever our thoughts were on the text we were reading. We were never criticized for our point of view, but encouraged and challenged to dig deeper. I learned how to look beyond a text and try to understand the underlying meanings.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do all the required reading and participate in class discussions. First of all, it's a great experience to engage in classroom discussion, especially in Tayyar's class. But it is also helpful in understanding the material. I came to class numerous times confused about what I had read and I always left feeling more confident.
