Not too easy. Not too difficult.
I would recommend this course, it showed me a lot. I thought I knew how to write, until my first paper came back to me bleeding. I stayed in the library and studied really hard. I left that class with an "A", after my skills were improved drastically.
I first learned not to have run on sentences. My vocabulary was past sence when I was talking about the future or present state. Punctuation's handouts were a must have next to my computer and the great book on spelling mishaps.

Advice for students:
I would have to say, not to take this course for granted. We often speak out of context on things in every day life, but writing down what you want to say may help you improve what you really want to say. By looking at what you wrote and reading it aloud you will see the change.
