Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend it as it was a fairly thorough summary of computer technology in use in society today. The course covered enough content to provide a person new to such things a decent familiarity with a variety of computer subject areas which, in addition to being simply informative, could serve to inspire some people to explore careers in IT.

    Course highlights:

Learning about computer programming concepts (though not something really focused on to any depth in this course) was helpful. The course exposes students to some programs that can be used to help in programming apps which was exciting in that it proved that it is possible to get an app idea from concept to final product more easily that one might think. I am already pursuing some IT certifications so while I did not learn that many new concpets I will say that as someone who is currently pursuing the ComptTIA A+ certification, this course does touch on some technical content which would be very useful for someone not already familiar with such concepts.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this course because it is interesting and not difficult. Professor Thai will make this course more fun and interesting. Also, this course requires online participation, which allows you to do your own research at your own pace.

    Course highlights:

As a Network Security major, the most outstanding course material was the introduction to network topologies and protocols that allow the Internet function as we know it. Encryption and data protection is also key material in the class.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

There are on-line assignments every week. Make sure to read through them as soon as they're posted so you know what you're going to be working on during the week.
