Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Griffith was an excellent professor who brought creativity and understanding into his teaching. He took the time to go over the reading material and made sure students thoroughly comprehended the material.

    Course highlights:

For one of our reading assignments, Griffith chose "The Road" by Cormac McCarthy. It wasn't your typical English textbook and I loved it! As a class we went over the book, in detail, dissecting the characters, themes, symbolism, and foreshadowing.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Griffith assigned many writing assignments. My advice would be to take advantage of the time he sets aside for you to go over your essays with him. He'll read through your writings before you turn it in for a final grade and go over specifically what he is looking for. It was really helpful!

    Course Overview:

McGaughey's teaching style is new to me. It's very relaxed in class but at the same time the assignments are intensive.

    Course highlights:

    Strong critical thinking skills.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Be really strong on your opinion. Don't be afraid to speak up.
