    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course to any freshman or transfer student coming to Stevenson University to become a Computer Information Systems major. This is a good intro course as it teaches you the components that make up a computer, what each component does, and the different types and sizes.

    Course highlights:

Building a PC from scratch was definitely fun to do as the class had the option to pick out the components and build it from scratch. Knew some of the basics heading in so most of the course was a review for me

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Pay attention, learn as much as you can as most of the information is useful.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

In addition to what I've learned while being enrolled at CCTC, Professor Fifer has reinforced the learning aspect in the classroom by engaging with hands-on experiences, and with his charismatic lectures every class.

    Course highlights:

    - Building out own PC - Engaging Class lectures - Equipment ready classroom - Visual Aids (Computer components)

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Be prepared to learn, this class can teach you a lot if you put the time and effort into learning the material. If you truly have a passion for IT these classes, while may seem easy, can give you a good understanding on components and everyday computing functions.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this class. It's a great intro class and you learn about different aspects of computers and how businesses use them.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of the course was when I got to dismantle a hard drive and see where everything was and what things were used for. It was cool because you get to learn what things operate different aspects of a computer.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

As long as you put the time and effort in the course and you ask your professor questions, you will do well.
