    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This course is a must take for those interested in biology (especially microorganisms). You learn a lot of biochemical tests and assays regarding using and studying microorganisms.

    Course highlights:

The biggest highlight is using the all the assays and techniques that you learn throughout the course to determine the identity of unknown bacterium, one gram positive and one gram negative.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

This is a really fun course that gets you to look at the world of microorganisms in a different way. Taking this course would definitely not be a decision you regret.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would absolutely recommend anyone who had to take Microbiology to take it with Professor Zuckerman. He makes learning the course material extremely relatable and enjoyable. The course can be difficult to understand, but Professor Zuckerman is very helpful and will stay after hours to help clarify anything.

    Course highlights:

During this course students will learn all different aspects on how microorganisms can affect other things and how they work. During this course we learned about the diversity of Microorganisms, the cell theory, microscopy, prokaryotes and eukaryotic Cells, how to control microbial growth, antimicrobial medications, metabolism, the central dogma, bacterial genetics, immunology, microbe interactions, viruses, and epidemiology.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

In order to succeed in this course students need to realize that they will have to study at least 3 to 5 hours on their on outside of the lecture class.
