    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

As with most classes, the professor was the ultimate factor in why I thoroughly enjoyed taking ESC 1000. Professor Bob Lutz is a very enthusiastic, engaging, and intelligent professor who presented the course material to the class in a way that helped us easily learn. The material in the class was also very interesting, learning about the way our earth has evolved and continues to evolve dealing with topics such as plate tectonics and climate change.

    Course highlights:

My personal favorite section of the course was the time we spent learning about climate change. I had long known that climate change was a threat to the earth and the human species, but I had lacked the knowledge of how it was specifically threatening our planet. From Professor Bob, I learned how greenhouse gases were causing the acceleration of climate change.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

At the beginning of the class, Professor Bob established a clear set of expectations. It is important to respect him, and he will respect you in return. Doing so will also make the class much more enjoyable, and allow you to gain so much more from the class.

    | No strong feelings either way.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

She is super nice but the lecture portion of class is close to useless.

    Course highlights:

The final is ridiculous but if you do well in recitation, you can basically fail and still get an A.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

If you don't get an easy grading TA you are completely screwed.
