    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would not recommend this course for students who have taken other speech courses before. As a student who has taken intense competitive speech courses before it had been an unusual and difficult adjustment. I believe this class is better suited for students who don't enjoy speaking or who fear speaking. It is not a difficult course, but there is not enough instruction.

    Course highlights:

It is an easy course. There is not much work required for the students to complete. This is a great class to take early in the morning. The professors lectures are easy to listen to, and take notes from. I have learned more about the science behind how people communicate.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

If you like public speaking this course is not for you. it is hard to adjust from the style of public speaking into the interpersonal style. Always read the chapters and study for the tests. Take good notes. If you want good grades on speeches, be prepared ahead of time and go to the professors office and ask if what you have written is what she is expecting. It does not matter what you think is right because in the end the professor decides the grades.

    | Would recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Being able to process your thoughts and convey them verbally is one of the best skills you can have. Taking a public speaking class not only teaches you that but also build your confidence.

    Course highlights:

You will learn to face your fear of speaking in public. You will learn little tricks that will help you weather you are speaking to a crowd of 5 or 50. Face your fears , accept the challenge and sign up for a public speaking class.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Put yourself out there. Push yourself to learn to express yourself through your words, body language and over all presence . Don't take the class with your friends. Practice with strangers. Watch others and learn from them. Remember this is a class that you will use the rest of your life.
