Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I found the course to be extremely helpful while in a period of my life that required a lot of life changes. It is an introduction to psychology that delves further into how it effects our lives than the science of it. Extremely interesting knowledge that is also has practical application despite being a 1000 level class.

    Course highlights:

I gained an insight and appreciation for the social sciences, and learned a few things about myself as well. This course will both introduce you to psychology and help you get in touch with yourself to further understand your strengths and weaknesses.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

The essays are absolutely crucial. APA as a format can be a little scary if you have never used it before, but the Learning Commons are an excellent source to utilize for both helping correct your formatting and proofreading.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I most definitely recommend taking this course, because it allows you to better understand psychology and how it affects yourself and your peers.

    Course highlights:

By taking this course, I was able to learn how and why humans act the way they do, and also the coping strategies that go along with these behaviors. This course also gives you an in-depth perspective on several disorders that are characteristic of humans as well.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Paying attention to detail in this course is a must, and studying helps a lot as well.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Although the class sounds kind of hard, it's really not. It's basically general psych but easier. Professor Garner actually recommends taking it prior to PSY2012! If you've already taken a psych course it will be a breeze. Basically PSY2012 without the hard science stuff. It's all super cool because it is meant to directly apply to life. Professor Garner is also super chill and her lectures are funny and interesting. Not much homework, pretty easy class overall.

    Course highlights:

I learned so much! It's all about people, how they work, and why people do what they do. It directly applies to life, so it's interesting to sit there and be able to think of experiences that have to do with the subject.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Go to class, take notes from the slides, and use her study guides! The study guides are literally exactly like the test. Super easy A.
