    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Though EG 1003 at first might seem like a dreadful introductory course, it actually turned out to be one of my favorites classes of my freshman fall semester. When I first got into Tandon/NYU Poly, I had a big interest in engineering but I never exactly knew what engineering was and what I could possibly do with that major. This class helped exactly with that.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of the EG 1003 course were that I got a brief glimpse into what the various majors of engineerings were like. Also, we were taught valuable skills that could help tremendously with our future careers and lives such as public speaking, effective communication with your colleagues and friends, and gaining technical knowledge. I learned from this class that sometimes team work is hard. It is not as easy as you think. Sometimes you will have to compromise and come to an agreement that suits everyone's interests.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not procrastinate. Do not do the 7-8 lab reports the night before they're due. Also, communicate communicate communicate with your assigned team mates, professors, and TAs. And don't forget to keep a positive attitude and never give up! Sometimes, the topics and concepts can get confusing.. but you'll get through it!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

IT's a fun and interactive lab where you get a variety of professors and TAs.

    Course highlights:

There will be a lot of practical. You won't really get any input.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Be prepared to write long and lengthy lab reports and presentations every week.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

It's an interesting class where all disciplines of engineering come together in a universal classroom.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course is to learn teamwork and learn to work with others from different disciplines. There is no such thing as there is no way that different disciplinary backgrounds can't work together.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Be open to new experience and always have a lot of fun. It's all about creativity.
