    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I recommend taking this course if biology is your passion. This professor really engages the student in what is being taught and sets real-world examples for the student to understand the content at a better level. She also has an amazing way of getting the class to interact with her during labs, as well as lecture hall by her passion in teaching the material.

    Course highlights:

I honestly gained a better understanding of the material. I knew the basics of biology like mitosis and evolution, but during this course you get into the nitpick details of the processes and it truly opens your eyes to the amazing world of biology. I know sounds cheesy right? Well it's the truth. I learned everything I needed to know for the next biology course at a tolerable pace.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Definitely read the chapters. Your professor might only go over so much in class so in order to ace the exam you might need to teach it to yourself. Sometimes you run out of time in class or even need to review what you learned that day because you left class think what the heck..? to yourself. What really helped me manage my study time is to create flashcards and just write the basic definitions on them and quiz yourself. Once you understand the basic definition, you should be able to apply this to the diagrams or whatever the professor shoots your way on the exams.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The professor, Frendreis, I have currently is not a bad teacher but she does like to circle back to things too many times. No one asks a question about the material but she will expand on a topic and say you don't need to know what she just talked about for 10 minutes. I believe she mainly teaches high school and believes college students are very similar to high school. Also get the lab book for the first class. The lab book is NEEDED.

    Course highlights:

I am still in the course so I can not say any highlights yet.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

the course is easy, but just make sure you try to do research on the teacher.
