Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The professor is amazing! He really bases his assignments on what his students need to learn, and what way they would like to learn it. There are a few large papers, but for the most part they were simple, and pretty fun. He is not the absolute toughest grader, but he does allow re-takes for papers if you do not do very well. Overall I love the course!

    Course highlights:

I learned different writing techniques. We focused more on interpreting articles and videos, and summarizing their content as well as, critiquing them. The biggest paper was an Exploratory Essay which really expanded my knowledge on researching, and the credibility of the research that I was conducting.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Abide to all of the rubrics, and make sure to listen to the professor's demands during class.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This professor truly makes sure you learn material rather than simply teaching to make sure you pass. She can be a tough grader, but she gives constructive criticism to help you improve with every assignment,

    Course highlights:

She chooses very good material for stories and movies. They are definitely stories that you'll reference or re-encounter at least once later in your life.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

You should actually read the stories. They are pretty much all interesting to read anyway.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class is very rewarding. We are required to write four essays that are all connected to one another. The goal is to understand what 'social justice' is and how we can achieve that. This course allows you to choose something you are interested in and motivates you to make changes to an issue that seems to never disappear.

    Course highlights:

This class requires you to do six hours of service work. The course focuses on social issues throughout our country. I found that actually getting out there and working in the field of what I was writing about helped me better understand the depth of my topic. Completing this service work made me feel a connection to what I was writing. Not only did I understand my topic in a new light, but I also gained more passion into what I was talking about.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would advise students to keep up with the online homework and make sure they are putting their best efforts into their papers. I would also advise picking a topic that you are very interested in or at least interested in learning more about, because it is hard to write about something that doesn't mean much to you.
