Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

My professor at this college is no longer teaching this course but it truly started the base to my nursing knowledge that continues to grow and that I use in my daily life today.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were learning the evolution of nursing, from Florence Nightingale until now, learning the basics such as the Rights of Medication Administration, and how to accurately and effectively take vital signs.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

I would advise students to not mistake the title of 'Fundamentals' as an "Easy A" course, take thorough notes, as I used these many times down the line all the way up until graduation to prepare for exams, and throughout my clinical experiences.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course taught me how to think as a nurse and it opened my mind to different areas of nursing that i otherwise would not have considered.

    Course highlights:

I gained so much insight into how the body works and why and i also learned how to answer questions that required me to think outside of the box. I learned what certain disease processes look like and how to care for my patients adequately.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

When you take this class have an open mind, and STUDY, STUDY, STUDY.
