    Course Overview:

    This course breaks down the the duties and responsibilities of a medical assistant on various levels. In this course i've learned about patients, record keeping, customer service, HIPAA, and also payroll guidelines. With hard work and dedication, this course can greatly advance anyone willing to commit to the work. My professor is also very active with the students, and grades everything in a timely manner.

    Course highlights:

    In this course i learned a thorough breakdown of Medical law, medical billing, human resources management, health information management, scheduling appointments for multiple providers, following up with patients and also business operations. This is a great course for individuals that want to work in a medical setting, but aren't sure exactly what they want to do.

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

    The best advice i can give for this course is to take the work very seriously. This professor grades very strictly, and expects correct Citations and APA format. You should also thoroughly read the assigned chapters and study the presentations as weekly quizzes are given and count for most of your grade.
