Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The professor is interesting and explains the material very well. She is passionate about teaching and it really shows.

    Course highlights:

My favorite parts of the class was the application of our material. Instead of just teaching the material the professor would explain its relevance in the real world and give examples of how it is used.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the book before coming to class and use the practice tests to study.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Karpel challenges his students to apply themselves in order to learn the course material. Hard as this class was, it proved very rewarding when you could understand the concepts and apply them outside of the classroom. Dr. Karpel was always willing to go out of his way to help us learn.

    Course highlights:

We learned so much during such a short amount of time. What was really great though, was how the professor applied what we learned to real world situations. We could see real-life applications, not just the textbook stuff. I really enjoyed learning about the Krebs Cycle, which we went over thoroughly.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't give up! It might seem hard at first, but stay on top of studying. If you study little by little, you'll find the material is easier to understand. I would also advise reading the text book thoroughly as it proved a great tool for this class.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Once you get through the first exam, this class it easy and you can learn a lot. Just do the reading, quizzes, and practice exams and you should be able to do fine. Also make sure to attend class! In all, Whaley is pretty funny, super nice, and is willing to help you out if you need it.

    Course highlights:

I learned a ton about biology from molecules to cells to different animals.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do the work and you will be able to pass. Skip out on class and daily quizzes and this class will not be fun.
