    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

YES!!! There is so much out there to learn and Dr. Shively is willing to help along the whole way. I learned so much about the world around me, and about how to learn and study. I would recommend this course to anyone who wants to learn.

    Course highlights:

I loved the lecture classes. I enjoyed listening to the professor teach and help us understand. Typically these class periods were very interactive and engaging. Definitely the best parts of the course

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Dedicate as many hours as you can to this class. I would say around 40-50 per week. Lots of work, but very rewarding and fulfilling.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Anatomy at UVU is hard. It is not a class you can shimmy through. Expect to spend 10-15 extra hours a week in open lab. Forget your social life - it's worth it for the knowledge and studying habits you will develop. But if you need to take a semester off afterward because you feel burnt out. Do that as well - it's worth it. And if you have the smallest desire to TA, DO IT.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were getting your quizzes back each week and feeling accomplished or knowing that you need to study better the next time around. You will learn about your body and working with cadavers you can start to identify landmarks on yourself. You will be working out at the gym and see a tendon and suddenly know that that is the tendon for your palmaris longus muscle.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Read the book. Plan the time to go to the lab. Never expect a light load week.. Unless it's the first week.
