Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course is very informative on the economics and management of the aviation industry depending on how thorough you are with doing your assignments. If this kind of stuff bores you as it does me, it seems to drag on, however, there is some good information embedded in the course.

    Course highlights:

My favorite part about the course is the weekly assignments where I would have to do my own research and come up with a conclusion on certain topics in the industry. I am pretty thorough with my research so it was time consuming, but overall worth it because I gained my own opinion and knowledge in many aspects of the field.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't blow it off, even though some of this stuff is boring, it is essential to understand if you want to become any sort of chief pilot in the future. This type of knowledge is attractive to management in the airlines so don't be lazy with your research.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course is very in depth in the industry of aviation. It gives detailed history of the industry and what made it into what it is today. However, this course has a lot of papers and reading which is the downfall.

    Course highlights:

The history of the aviation industry and influences from government and the development of the NTSB and FAA.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Be good at writing papers. Honestly its not too hard just long papers.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Well, it is a required course but it is also really important knowledge to know.

    Course highlights:

Doing the reading is important, you can find a free PDF of the book online though so that is nice.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't buy the book! It is expensive and there is a PDF version of it on the internet.
