    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This is a really interesting class and teaches a lot of understanding, empathy, and personal coping for those even outside of a psychology or behavioral science major.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about different mental illnesses such as depression, anxiety, ADD, and the best part was class discussion on all these subjects. Learning from other's personal experiences and opinions while using researched psychology as a base was a great way to learn.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

The one piece of advice I would give is to not self-diagnose! It's easy to start freaking out and thinking you have everything found under the DSM but don't overthink it, and if you really feel you do have a mental illness, if you have Professor Hatfeild, he'll be able to give you some resources.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

You will be given case studies to help you understand each diagnosis studied, as well as seeing films of case studies. You will see how some people can be helped with differing therapies.

    Course highlights:

In this course you will learn the most common mental health diagnoses along with the criteria to diagnose an individual. I learned how difficult it can be not only to diagnose an individual but to treat them

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Keep up with the reading because there is a lot covered in this course. Make flash cards to help you memorize each disorder.
