Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Lectures and assignments were never boring or pointless. Everything you learn you can use in your profession or personal life. She is a pro at this subject and she has such a love for what she is teaching, it really helps you learn and apply. There were the perfect amount of assignments and tests. I would actually take this class again!

    Course highlights:

I learned the essentials for applied parenting. Parenting styles, praise vs encouragement, etc. So many helpful things to prepare for being a parent or a career in marriage and family therapy, etc.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

At least skim the readings, but reading everything will be worth it. Try not to miss class. This class is always fun and insightful.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I loved this class! The methods taught by Julie are helpful for anyone who has to deal with people... in other words, it's helpful for anyone. Of course, it's focused on dealing with children and how to be a good parent, but the things I learned in this class have already been helpful to me in all of my relationships. If the whole world took this class, we would be much better off.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to deal with other people (primarily children, but the concepts apply for anyone most of the time). We discussed research-based methods on how to treat others and behave yourself in order to have a happy life and give others a happy life. It sounds corny, but I promise it's effective! Take this class! Plus, Julie is awesome.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Keep up on the work. Most of it is fairly easy (aside from a couple of big projects), you just have to do it! Julie is clear and strict, so there's no reason for you to fail. Come to class and try your hardest, and I guarantee you will be a better person after completing this course!
