Not too easy. Not too difficult.
I wish I had taken this class when I first started my aviation degree. My previous classes - even the prerequisites for this class - were never this thorough. You know how when you first start putting together a puzzle everything looks like random colors and shapes until you find that one piece that makes you say "Oh! That was the ______ part!"? That's what this class is. All those acronyms, all those random facts and tidbits, they are all finally explained.
This is where you learn about SMS and QMS, ERP, and most importantly, how to think critically when assessing safety. What are the risks behind everything that you do. You'll learn about the 80/20 rule where 80% of quality problems were result of 20% of the cause.

Advice for students:
Take good notes. Create a list of all the acronyms at the beginning of the class. It is so much easier than having to go back through the entire book each time you find one you can't remember. If you're having trouble, talk to the professor. I highly recommend Curt Drumm. Most importantly, remember, everything that you're going to continue learning stems off this course, so it's really important to understand the material.
