Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I felt as if I didn't learn anything in the course. It was mostly vocabulary, and not much variation in writing. There was only 1 paper to work on the entire term and I felt that didn't stretch me writing wise. We also weren't allowed to discuss anything controversial even if that was what we were most passionate about. It also felt like a high school class instead of a college class, and we weren't held to that standard of student.

    Course highlights:

It was a good way to learn to stick to a subject and research both sides of an argument.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Take it from a professor that matches your personality, also choose a topic for your paper that you are passionate about.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This definitely is not an easy class. However, the teacher works really well with the students and grades fairly. Push through all the assignments, and the class will be worth it!

    Course highlights:

Different essays are reviewed, such as rhetorical analysis and synthetic essays. We went over formatting, referencing articles, and ultimately, to think on our own.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Take it! Just be willing to do the work and communicate with the professor.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Professor Fullmer is easily the best professor I have had at UVU thus far. He is very passionate about his work and takes it very seriously, yet loves to have fun with it. He makes the class very interesting and fun to go to. I would recommend his class to everyone!

    Course highlights:

I never thought I would become and english major, until I took his course. My eyes were opened to the beauty of literature and the amazing history behind it. I fell in love with authors and poets that I never knew before this class. It was truly inspiring.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

My advice would be to make sure you do the readings that he assigns, because that way you can involve yourself more into the group discussions. Also, go into the class with an open mind and attitude and I promise that you will not regret it.
