    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

For those who wish to pursue a career in biology, I strongly recommend this course because of the fascinating topics that are taught here. The topics covered range from microbiology, such as cell to cell communication, to human anatomy, including the function of organs and organ systems. Although this course was challenging, those who are truly passionate about this field of study will succeed as long as the required amount of work and time is put into it.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of the course included learning about the various topics within microbiology, and learning how they applied on a more general level, particularly at the organ and organ system level in organisms. The connections that are made after learning and studying the different roles cells play in the survival of organisms, was perhaps one of the most fascinating moments.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

In order to succeed in this course it is strongly recommended that students read the textbook and take notes on the reading. Additionally, there are hundreds of study guides available online and practice exams that give students an idea of what to expect on tests and what to study for. If any topic is unclear or is difficult to understand, never hesitate to ask the professor for clarification; they are more than happy to help out.
