Pretty easy, overall.
Professor Blair is engaging and encouraging, providing a safe environment for students to build their public speaking skills with their peers. Speeches were given in small groups and practiced weekly to allow students to become more comfortable with speaking in front of others. All of the lessons were clear and easy to follow, so if you listen and practice your speeches, this course will be a breeze!
My favorite part of this course was actually the impromptu speeches we were required to give each week. They were short speeches based on a topic you chose from a slip of paper in class. I believe learning to think quickly on your feet and use effective eye contact and presentation skills is beneficial in any job setting so I am very glad we were able to practice that in this course very often.

Advice for students:
You have to find research articles towards the beginning of the course on two different speech topics. Definitely put the time and effort into finding useful articles on those topics because it not only develops your research skills but it also helps your classmates when they need to present on the topics you first had. Also, if you follow the format of speech that Professor Blair teaches and follow it for all your practice speeches, you should be more likely to test out of having to give speeches on your first or second attempt. Format is key!!
