Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Kaleeka is an amazing teacher- she isn't overly harsh but isn't afraid to tell you exactly where you need to improve.

    Course highlights:

The final assignment allows for a lot of creative freedom, which I loved! The entire semester really helps you build up your technical and observation skills in preparation for a more creativity-based final.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Listen to the teacher's critiques! Walk into this class humble- you are here to learn not argue!

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I am naturally inclined toward art and have developed skill of my own but this class was helpful in many ways. I learned a wide range of new techniques I had never tried before and learned to incorporate different media types in my own work and use new ones.

    Course highlights:

Professor Smith is devoted to helping everyone create a masterpiece by the end of the course. She is committed to helping every single person express themselves and their style in every way, helping individuals remain true to their style but refining their work.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

This is a work intensive course and requires one to be completely committed to creating the best piece one possibly can. Allowing oneself to see the way in which one expresses style is the most important thing. This course introduces the complexities of different styles but allows for one to remain true and open to the development of new techniques and outlooks on different media. I would have never imaged myself using charcoal because of its difficulty but I have now been able to create pieces so complex I would have never imagined before completing this course.
