    English is a subject that everyone needs to excel in because it helps you in your life no matter what degree you are trying to achieve but also in something simple such as writing an email.

    Reading and comprehending what I should know about my reading

    Advice for students:

    Most important thing is to take this class seriously and do all of your homework and turn in assignments on time. when writing papers think outside the box

    Course Overview:

    This course gives the basic instruction on essay planning and writing as well as utilizing what you have learned throughout past English courses.

    Course highlights:

    One of the course highlights is the exemplification essay. For this assignment, you have to intellectually and maturely present a topic or point you personally believe in. Another highlight, the comparison and contrast essay, consists of finding the pros and cons of a specific point.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

    The professor is fairly laid back, but don't take too much advantage of this. Be prepared to write quite a bit as well. This course is a great introduction to more difficult courses.

    Mr. Griggs is a fantastic teacher the coursework is fun and entertaining. It is a very enjoyable class and I always look forward to it.

    Course highlights:

    Learned how to write proficiently and get my points across clearly and how to make an essay entertaining and fun to write

    Advice for students:

    Read the student writer and practice writing have a friend judge how well you're doing.
