    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend this course for multiple reasons, the first being that it is a good way to decide whether you want to continue going along the path of Computer Science since the course involves the use of a simple and highly versatile coding language called Python, which I feel is a very good introductory language for those new to coding. The second reason why I would recommend this course is that although background knowledge helps, anyone can take this course if they are willing to put in the time necessary to learn the material. Finally, I feel that the professor teaching the course is rather good at teaching the course and answering questions, which is a great help when you are stuck with the homework assignments.

    Course highlights:

To me personally, I feel the highlight of the course was simply getting to learn the Python coding language since out of all the coding languages I have experienced, it is personally my favorite due to its simplicity and versatility. Over the course of the class, we learned the basics of Python, which includes lists, tuples, dictionaries, sets, recursion, classes, and so much more yet we only scratched the surface of what the language could achieve, which is great for those who have a passion for learning more about it.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

In terms of advice and study tips, there are a few things I can give. First off, working with other people on the homework assignments can prove a big help when you get stuck, just make sure to not coy other’s code since that is plagiarism and will get punished. Another thing I would advise is to attend all the lessons and go over the lecture notes a few times, since sometimes just doing that is enough to help you get through a lot of the labs and homework. Finally, experiment with the language when you have the free time to do so since the most important thing when it comes to coding is the amount of experience you have doing it. Simply putting the time in, asking for help when necessary, and working hard is all you need to do well in this course.

This course challenges your way of thinking and forces you to discover various ways to solve a problem. I would definitely recommend this course for anyone who wants an introduction to coding or who wants to expand their current knowledge.

    Course highlights:

Before this course, I had no knowledge of coding so I loved learning the coding language Python. Also, you sharpen your critical thinking and problem solving skills in this class.

    Advice for students:

You really have to work hard in this course if you want to get a good grade.
