Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it was fun. Dr. Duke made this class interactive. Every student had to respond to other classmates' work and although there were a lot of assignments for this short period of time, it was very manageable and easy to accomplish.

    Course highlights:

This course focus' mainly on the Revolutionary War, the War of 1812, and the Civil War as well as everything in between. With the assignments given and the links provided in our discussions, I learned a lot more about slavery in America and also the roles of women during the wars. It was very interesting learning about all of the roles people played in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

To anyone considering this course, don't underestimate it. Don't think that you can get away with skipping assignments or not completing them because your grade will go down very quickly. There are a lot of assignments but they aren't the most difficult and there are only two or three a week. That's manageable. Make sure you complete all of your work on time or even ahead of time. Rely on the help of other students. Dr. Duke makes this course interactive so that you can form relationships with other students academically and people are great resources.
