    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Class was very informative. Its definitely a challenge but with the information gained, if participation is adequate, the challenge is definitely worth it. The chapters are very interesting. The class includes a lot of independent work. So free time to study is needed.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this class is the things that you learn, and how you have fun while learning. The learning style, using prezis, is very effective to me. I think viewing presentations as a class then going over on your own is the best way to learn. Retaining the information is very student based. I learned all about cells. You learn about organelles and their functions. I learned about reproduction and genetics. Evolution was taught very thoroughly. Also cellular respiration and photosynthesis is gone over very detailed.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I suggest to only take the course if you're interested in the things that you will learn. Take the class to retain the information, not just to get the credit. From experience I know that you will not learn if you're not willing to. Once decided to take the class,, be ready for a challenge. A lot of the test questions are taken from the textbook provided. Also the textbook assignment are very important. You can learn a lot if you pay attention to the information.
