    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course! Van Boven will explain everything thoroughly and allows you to ask questions in the middle of lectures. He gives the notes and everything you need for the test so no need for a textbook!

    Course highlights:

I learned so much about economics! I took economics in high school, but Professor Van Boven made me understand the basic relationships of supply and demand as well as so much more!

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Sign up for his class early! Use the notes that he has on Canvas because all of the tests are directed from the notes.

    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This is a pre-requisite for many degrees, so I would have to recommend it for that reason. It was not my favorite course, but it was straightforward and all of the assignments were based on the text.

    Course highlights:

To be honest, I did not really learn anything from this course, but I guess that was my fault. I took this course online, so I was not obligated to read the book to pass the tests. However, I did enjoy the discussions the professor posted after every unit because they encourage us to find practical applications to the information covered and seek real-life situations in which we could apply the skills we gained.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

To succeed, you definitely need to read the assigned readings and make an effort to understand difficult concepts. My class was based on homework, quizzes, and tests, which may seem easy when it's online, but the questions were usually not directly from the book. Definitely get used to thinking critically to learn how to apply a textbook definition to real-life situations.
