This class was tough.
I would 100% recommend this course to anyone who is interested in the criminal justice system or just wants to become more knowledgeable of the system, either way it is a great class. Professor Ross clearly takes his teaching career seriously and that shows by the way he teaches the class.
One highlight of this course, for me, not for many other students, was that it was challenging. Professor Ross expects a lot from his students, but in return, he gives you a lot. He told stories about his job as a prosecutor which all of us admired and envy him for but he also told stories from when he was in college which made us all relate to him, both stories equally important. There were two requirements for his class and that was to attend a court to watch a case and to go on a ride along with a police officer. Both of these requirements changed my life, the case I watched made me more interested in the court processes and how evidence is reviewed and why certain things just happened, and the ride along was the most blood rushing exciting three hours of my life. Not knowing what was going to happen next and go go go feel made me want to pursue a job in the police department. Not only was Professor Ross teaching us the book material but we got to experience some of it, first hand.

Advice for students:
Be ready. Be motivated. Give it your all. I truly believe that if you give your all in this course, Professor Ross gives you his all. It is a heavy work load and the tests are long but read the chapters, take notes, be present and you will succeed.
