Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It gives you a totally new perspective of the world as a whole and opens your eyes to so many new ideas of lifestyles, the environment, and making the world a better and more sustainable place.

    Course highlights:

I learned about how quickly the world is evolving, along with the positive and negative impacts of globalization. The highlights were learning about the food industry, agriculture and its impacts on the world, and how quickly once underdeveloped countries are catching up with the rest of the world.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

DO NOT GET BEHIND ON WORK. This class involves a lot of reading and note taking. However, I learned that the more time you spend actually reading and taking in the information, the more knowledge you will leave the class with.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class was so intriguing and I loved every second of it. There aren't many classes I was be so excited about attending, but this one was certainly an exception. The diversity of the things we talked about was so interesting and the methods of teaching that Ms. Bremer used were fun, but they also helped the material stick.

    Course highlights:

There was so much that I learned from this class! For example, we learned about the patterns , process, and different angles that shape humans and our earth. We looked at situations and concept that geographers and scientists are looking at presently and had our own say in things. Socratic seminars were a method of teaching and absorbing lessons used by Ms. Bremer and they were made so us students could have discussions/debates about our viewpoints on conflicting world, geographical, or civil issues.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

My advice would be to always pay attention in the seminars and during the power-point presentations because that is when the most information is retained. Make sure to always have organized notes that you can look over for tests and the AP test at the end of the year. Other than that have fun!!
