Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Mrs. Gascho will teach you how to love reading and to understand the history and background of each book you read. You will get so much out of her lectures and each class is an exciting surprise. She is truly amazing.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to write strong essays and to really analyze literature. I went into the class not liking poetry and came out loving it. I learned how to listen to understand rather than respond. Just listen to the pieces and you will learn.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Take detailed notes, especially during Mrs. Gascho's lectures. You will benefit from listening to her!! Share Google docs and Quizlets with classmates and collaborate on notes. Have other people proofread your writing.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course analyzed works of literature in ways that make it interactive and enjoyable. We also sometimes discussed heavy subjects that relate to whatever we are studying.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about classic authors and how their personal lives affected their writings. After taking this course, I can easily find symbolism in works of literature I encounter.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the assigned material so that you have an easier time participating in class. Also, when you write essays, asking the teacher for some guidance can improve your writing.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because Mrs. Gascho is very passionate about every subject she teaches and it made this course a very memorable and knowledgeable one!

    Course highlights:

I loved the in-depth discussions in class about the readings we had for homework. Mrs. Gascho opened my eyes to so much symbolism and points of view I wouldn't have picked out when reading these books on my own.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would say read the books! I know this seems obvious but you can't get by in this class without reading the books.
