Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Even if you feel shaky about problems involving accounting or business, I assure you that with Mrs. Gilbert it will all be so simple to you. The way she teaches makes me so certain that no matter how new you are to accounting, she will do everything and anything to make sure that you are on the right track. She answers questions very detailed, she repeats herself, teaches cool ways to remember concepts, and will not let you down.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course to me was doing projects with software that you hear a lot of companies using like Quickbooks. You learn how to journalize, do bank reconciliations, Income statements, Balance sheets, FIFO, LIFO, and so many more concepts. You learn the several factors in a business that intertwine together to assure its success.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

As long as you are on top of your assignments, Ms. Gilbert will not let you fall behind. You do of course need to put your part into the class, but she will definitely show you that she will put her whole heart and energy into you, and consistently want to know if you are understanding okay.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend this course to anyone interested in accounting or even just business. Professor Hiller does a thorough job at a good pace and tries to make sure everyone understands before moving on.

    Course highlights:

From time to time there will be group activities to be done in class. It is a great way to interact with classmates and get a better grasp on certain material. Do not be afraid to ask questions.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you attend every class, skipping just one class can set you back quite a bit. Also, be sure to take good notes and study them after class is over.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because Geoff Hiller is an awesome professor who not only gives you practical advice on how to be a successful manager, but he also gives you many real-life scenarios to understand every concept he went over in class. Sometimes he also split us up into groups and gave us managerial exercises. For example, he would give us a scenario to try to find the best way to make the most profit for the product you are selling. Or another example would be to try to negotiate for the lowest price for your company. He would also regularly give us examples of interview questions, and then tell us the best way to answer them. He was overall a great teacher and would always give us real-life examples to help prepare us for being the best future managers.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were the group activities. We not only had to figure out the problems he would give us, but we also had to approach him (as he was playing "the boss") and give a presentation of how we got our answer and why we chose that. It really gave us a little taste of what it would be like in the real world.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Stay consistent with your studies throughout the week. Take good notes during class. Keep flashcards of all the formulas and tips he gives you in class as that will come in handy during the midterm and final. As long as you keep practicing the homework problems and handouts he gives in class over and over before the tests, you will do well in class. Plus, he is a very helpful teacher. If you ever have any questions, feel free to see him in office hours and/or text him with any questions you have.
