    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The course pushed me to grow as a student and citizen.

    Course highlights:

The most valuable lesson I took from this course was how an every day citizen can work with the government to help make change a possibility no matter how big or small.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not blow off the class due to it being reading intensive, do the work and pay attention in class

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course goes in depth about United States history and prepares you to take the AP test at the end of the year. When taking the class, it is important to focus on the end goal which ultimately is the AP test.

    Course highlights:

I gained a lot from this course because US history was always something that blurred into one giant mass of facts that were hard for me to separate. My teacher always used really good analogies which made it easier for me to distinguish different dates and events.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Read! Read! Read! Your teachers will tell you. Your friends will tell you. Everyone who cares about you and your grades will tell you to read. There were a few times that I didn't read the criteria and I found myself totally confused by what was being thrown at me in class. It always helps to be clear on what's being discussed in class and you do that by reading.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because my teacher was engaging and taught history in a way where it didn't seem like it was repetitive and boring.

    Course highlights:

In my opinion, there weren't any highlights of this course. I mean this in the most positive way possible because everyday, to me, was a new highlight. I was learning something everyday and I dreaded the days where I didn't have his class. He covered topics from Christopher Columbus to John Brown and Pottawatomie Creek to the feminist movements in the 1960s.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

If you are taking the AP test, make sure you review and read the AP book. It makes the AP test less stressful and it was ensure you a good score.
