Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The course offers valuable insights on how to operate Microsoft and Apple OS systems, and master modern Windows programs. These skills can be extremely helpful in an office or work setting, however are slightly basic, and the focus is heavily Microsoft biased and mostly avoids using Mac programs. For an intro course, the material is relatively simple to grasp, there is some reading and a lot of memorization required, but the professor makes the course easy to swallow.

    Course highlights:

I'm enjoying being able to master Windows 10 programs and software. I really like the simulations of manipulating Windows because it gives an accurate hands-on experience of how operating the system really feels.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I advise being organized because a portion of this class is online, and students really need to stay on top of deadlines for home assignments. I also advise using her (professor Baumgardner's) office hours before class to ask questions and check in, she's very nice and receptive to questions.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

She was an awesome teacher. Made you earn it ! ( I took a 13 week course in 6 weeks! what was I thinking) Earned a IC 3 cert. Lots of homework. But she made sure you knew what you needed to know.

    Course highlights:

Excel, powerpoint , word and access! So awesome. Because I thought I did know these! Did not.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Go for it and be ready with your computer. LBCC gives all students MS office for free. NOt a bad deal.
