Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Professor Shannon is a unique personality. Her passion for literature is one that I have yet to see matched by any other professor in my entire college career. Reading a passage can bring her to tears, because she involves herself so deeply in the content of her course materials. Her passion wakes the passion from within you. Your writing and your appreciation for literature arts will develop and excel in this course.

    Course highlights:

This course gave me an insight to writings that still stick with me to this day. I still quote lines or passages from the textbooks assigned to this course. I really learned the importance of "showing" not "telling" in my writing. She will definitely give you constructive feedback and while some find that hard to take, IT IS FOR YOUR BENEFIT! Just trust her. She knows what she's talking about. Her lessons and anecdotes carry meaning that I have reflected back to as I continued to get older and really understood what she had been telling us about all along. She will make you a wiser, better writer.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Take heed to the advice and anecdotes she gives you. The biggest impact she made on me was in my personal matters first and on my academics second. She will give you life lessons. She will tell you things so you can learn from her mistakes. And she will turn you into an amazing writer, if you trust her to guide you.
