    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because the professor was terrific. He told you exactly what he expected of you, and if you put in the work, he made a good grade. He goes above and beyond for his students, and was kind enough to write me a letter of recommendation for grad school.

    Course highlights:

I gained an incredible understanding of the human body and how it functions. It has more than adequately prepared me for A&P II.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Study, study, study! Print the online lectures and make notecards.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Som teaches A&P in a way that will HELP YOU PASS YOUR BOARDS! He's not about memorization. He's about teaching the concept and asking students to apply those concepts in a clinical setting. He's a master at teaching students how to "test well". He keeps the subject matter interesting by sharing clinical stories from his hours at the hospital. For any health science nerd, he is a MUST!

    Course highlights:

For me, learning how to read a questions and understand exactly what the question was asking. Dr. P really taught me that board questions will try to trick you. He taught us all to not over think things and to grasp the concept then "Think Simple". At the end of the day, all us health science majors can makes A's on every exam in college BUT if you can't pass your boards then none of those As will matter. Dr. P will not let you down.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

If you are going into a health science related field then you will be required to take this. I would recommend going to lecture always!!! Dr. P. has such an engaging way of presenting the subject matter that to hear him speak embeds the topic permanently into your brain. His study guides are super beneficial as well. Do both of those things and you'll pass his class with flying colors AND thank your lucky stars you had him as a teacher come time to master your boards.
