Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Throughout college I always struggled in Biology classes. However, since taking this class, I understand much more than I have in the past. This professor explains the material thoroughly and in such a way that it is easy to remember.

    Course highlights:

I learned much more about the cell and its organelles than I had previous believed.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

It is important to show up to class so you do not miss any important information that may not be presented in any power point slides.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

She challenges her students to think beyond the lecture. She incorporates class participation by involving her students in discussing concepts in lectures along the way. She uses hands on material that make learning fun and enjoyable.

    Course highlights:

Some highlights included dissecting a sheep brain with our lab partners. I thoroughly enjoyed using the microscope to look at different blood and skin sample slides. That hands on way of learning was very beneficial. Our online homework was useful. She gave us several resources in which to learn from.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

I would highly recommend reading the material before each class period because she goes over her lectures expecting the students to be familiar with the material before hand. There is so much material to be covered in anatomy and physiology 1 that there is no time to teach every concept in depth. Studying before hand and meeting up with classmates for study sessions helped me make an A in this course.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

She is a very good and detailed instructor who makes sure you understand. I thought she was difficult at first but I got use to her teaching style and learned better study habits and I ended up with a B in this course

    Course highlights:

I LEARNED EVERY MUSCLE AND BONE IN THE BODY AND HOW IT WORKS. THIS COURSE ALSO TAUGHT ME ABOUT ALL THE SYSTEMS OF THE BODY AND THEIR MAJOR FUNCTIONS LIKE nervous system and respirAtory system

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Get lecture notes, take notes in class and study notes using tables and charts and always ask the instructor questions about things you dont understand they will give you information if you ask. Its also good to record lectures.
