    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Mr. Marino is such a charismatic teacher who really makes an effort to engage his students in the lesson. He also really cares about the progress of his students and makes sure that they don't fall behind in the course because it is really easy to get lost.

    Course highlights:

Mr. Marino is really just a highlight in general. He makes the class so fun and relatable which is challenging considering the time periods discussed. I learned about the influence of Western Culture on America as well as other nations. I honestly didn't think what I learned would come up again but the information I retained is extremely helpful when it comes to other courses throughout high school and just general conversation as well. I really got a glimpse into history and am able to see the true origin of some laws, societal views, and educational standards of different cultures.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Always do your outlines! This class is a lecture (some notes are taken) so if you don't have any prior knowledge before class, you will get lost. Outlines are also incredibly helpful when it comes to tests. Lastly, as soon as he gives you an important date, start studying it because that is all the final consists of.
