    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I recommend taking this course as it is a requirement by many university programs. It is a very comprehensive introductory course into the basics of chemistry. It allows the student to gain understanding into basic chemistry principals, such as the periodic table of elements, but also gain perspective into more complex principals such as quantum mechanics.

    Course highlights:

I enjoyed learning about the elements and their spectrum of properties as metals, nonmetals, and semimetals. How these relate to life is remarkable. How these elements shape our lives is mind expanding. My outlook on the world was greatly affected by this information.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

My best advice is basic. Attend class every day. Read on the subjects being covered in class ahead of time. Take good notes but listen intently to the lesson given by the instructor.
