    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

If you are a hard working student and want to learn Mrs. San Juan's AP Art History class is perfect. She drills her students with homework, lectures, and assessments that work so well in acquainting you with the information that you will remember your "slides IDs" and easily pass your AP test. If you want an easy class to boost your GPA or you don't really care about art history, then I wouldn't recommend the class. As I said before, it's a lot of work with plenty of repetition and content that an uninterested person would hate. Note I had the AP class, not honors, but it wasn't available in the course selection box. Still, the tips still apply.

    Course highlights:

The best things about this course are small specific assignments that are easy to do and provide the needed information about an artwork efficiently. With big assignments and difficult assessments, it's easy to forget that a lot of the work actually plays off. I learned about hundreds or works and artists. Personally, I remember the Greco-Roman content the best, for example, I know anything relevant to the sculpture Doryphoros.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do the assignments as quickly and efficiently as possible. Use AP study guides like Barron's to prepare for her tests; the notes are OK but personally I found Barron's and Flashcards as the most efficient way to study.
