    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class covers a variety of literary techniques and how to recognize and also use them. While I was in this class I was exposed to rich literature every day and learned essay writing techniques that I know I will carry with me in college.

    Course highlights:

The highlights were the open discussions about the novels and plays we read. We were able to hear different interpretations and learn from each other. I learned to speak out and have your voice heard because you do not know who you could help by saying what you thought about a particular passage or quote or chapter.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do the reading every time. You will fall behind if you do not read what is required. Also be ready to write often and in a different style than you may have been used to. AP likes a specific formula that is not typical of your past English classes.
