Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because the teacher has wonderful lectures and you are able to get an appreciation for psychology. We also did creative projects that were fun and made us think outside the box. Because this is an introduction to psychology course, we were able to get a taste about a wide number of subjects such as social psychology, biological bases of the brain, abnormal psychology, and more topics.

    Course highlights:

I learned that psychology is an important part of one's education because you are able to have an understanding of one's behaviors and developmental stages. Psychology topics can be applied to anything in life and can be used to understand individuals, groups, and organizations of people. I enjoyed the psychologist Super Hero Project where we turned a psychologist's contributions into super powers.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the textbook and make notes is important to note. You need to know the details of a concept for tests/quizzes. Ask questions and try to enjoy learning. Also, see how the psych lessons can help you in your everyday lives.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Psychology can either be an boring and dull or exciting and enriching course. My class was filled with many real-life examples and stories that always kept me interested. Psychology is something that relates to everyday life that you can easily make a connection with as opposed to factorization in Pre-Calculus.

    Course highlights:

I love projects that include using your creativity skills. The end of the year we had a list of choices we could do for the large end of the year project. I chose to make a video about a very mild case of DID (Dissociative Identity Disorder). My teacher gave me great tips and really educated me on some cases of DID. Did you know that DID is present in all races, but is most common in American children? Super crazy!

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you do all your reading because the notes in class may not make sense if you don't have at least a small amount of background information. Once you do this reading you'll be able to really just listen to Ms. A instead of having to take extremely detailed notes in class.
