    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class because you were given the opportunity to learn about the things that were going on inside of your body as you were sitting in class. It was very interesting to learn about all the parts of our body more in depth. The most interesting things were learning about the bones, muscles and blood, as well as the cardiovascular, digestive, and nervous system.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course to me were the lab tests. We did a lot of learning out of the books and on the computer but the lab tests were real life. It was interesting to be able to hold things like fake bones and model hearts and be able to have hands on participation with the things we were learning about. We dissected sheep brains and eyes, as well as a cat, and then identified the things we had learned about.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

I would advise anyone taking this course to get involved. Being involved makes the material a lot easier to learn. It is very difficult and can be very challenging to try to learn some of this stuff out of a book, so doing things like watching videos and looking at different models can help you to understand the material better. When you're interested and try to learn the material, it is easier to see the big picture which helps understanding how it all works instead of all the little things.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class because of all of the knowledge you gain about the human body. We go through our everyday routine not really knowing what goes on inside of us! We learned about our blood, bones and muscles, along with our digestive, cardiovascular, and nervous systems. The insight this class gave me about what is happening in my body as I type was mind-blowing.

    Course highlights:

For me, the highlights were the lab tests. We got the opportunity every other week to have a hands-on, life-like experience. We got to hold fake bones, hearts, muscles, and even got to direct a sheep brain and a cat! It was so interesting to go away from just looking at these things we were learning about on the computer or on paper and actually see a real- life replica of these things.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

I would give students taking this class the advice to get involved. It is a very interesting course, but if you do not pay attention and really get into what you are learning, it can be very challenging. Every so often you need to stop and think about the fact that all of the things you are learning about are happening right now to and in your body. I would encourage them to also pay attention because a lot of the words sound alike and some of the concepts can be very confusing, but if you pay attention you will not have trouble.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would not recommend taking unless it is a requirement, it is a very difficult class.

    Course highlights:

There were a lot of very difficult tests. The lab write ups that took at least 3-5 days to complete. Start on the labs early.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Get a good tutor to help guide you through and don't overload your extra curricular activities, you will need that time to study.
