Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend it because it's important to know about our country. I understand that we don't recognize all of the past president's portraits, but it's a little weird to not know why we were involved in World War II or about the history and current relevance of Jim Crow laws in the South. I would recommend, however, that one take this course with a grain of salt, because there is significant bias on which chapters get more weight and which ones don't (Susceptibly because they make America look kinda bad).

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course, for me, were the teacher, the writing, and the movies. We learned a lot, but it was also my first time doing the D B Q assignments. It was an adjustment, because somethings were not sticking for me, but I would recommend this course still, because history is necessary.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would suggest that you do the readings. It really is helpful because dates and geography eventually become a big mess, especially when learning about the post colonial age and all the different regions and crops. Be smart and take the time in increments rather than cramming and trying to google stuff.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I felt like learning about politics especially when the elections were about to come up was interesting and relevant. The class dealt with current material which made it useful as well.

    Course highlights:

I loved the presentations, the debates, and the videos that we watched. It got us engaged with the material and it helped the information sink in. The debates we did got everyone thinking about the issues that our government has and all the different opinions that there are.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the book and study hard. Make sure you know how to apply the information to real life situations; don;t just memorize the material.

    Course Overview:

It is a challenging course, but I think it is worth it. I found it more interesting than modern world.

    Course highlights:

I liked the material and subject matter in US history. I liked how we were able to learn about our country's history in depth. I learned a lot of interesting events that happened in our country that I had not known about before.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Keep up with the reading and study guides are very helpful. Don't procrastinate on studying especially for the exam and AP exam.
